SETTING UP YOUR TRACTOR

#1. Remove the top three-point hitch arm.

#2 Remove the PTO guard to allow the PTO pump to fit on the shaft.

#5 Remove the top shield.

#3 Attach draw bar and set draw bar height.

#4 Remove arm yoke pins – perform on both sides of draw bar.

#5 Remove the top shield.

#5. Attach draw bar.

#8 Check alignment on both sides by lowering and raising the bucket.

#6 Lower draw bar until 4-6” (10-15cm) from ground.

#7 Lower the draw bar by turning the turnbuckle.

#8 Repeat on the left side.

#9 Check that the bar is level – both side arms must be equal lengths.

#10 Refasten both arm yokes.

ATTACH THE TURF RAKE TO THE TRACTOR

#1. Align the pin hole – matching the center hole on the draw bar with the hole in the Turf Rake.

#2 Secure the pin through the matching holes and secure with the colter pin.

#3 Attach the PTO pump.

#4 Adjust the pump brackets as necessary – the 3 point hitch pin must slide through the hole in the mounting bracket.

#5 Secure the pump with the pin.

#6 Refasten the bracket to the pump.

#7 Attach the hydraulic hoses.

#8 Clean the hydraulic spools.

#9 Connect single dump hose on newer Turf Rake models.

Older Turf Rake configuration – some older machines require two dump hoses, each on separate lines.

#10 Hydraulic moldboard option – connect send and return lines on same spool.

#12 Older model finisher hose – finishers on older models also have a separate hose and require a third spool.

TEST THE COMPONENTS

#1 Make sure the flow control is on.

#2 Turn the PTO on to run conveyer/finisher.

#3 The Conveyer speed is controlled by the tractor engine speed.

#4 The finisher activates when the PTO is on.

#5 On the Surf Rake 400, make sure the finisher's hydraulic valve on the side of the machine's hydraulic reservoir is set to open, and then the finisher activates when the PTO is on.

#6 Test the dump line – run through the whole cycle.
