CONTROLLING THE CONVEYOR SPEED

The speed of the engine is directly related to the speed of the PTO and Conveyor speed.

#1. The speed of the engine is directly related to the speed of the PTO and conveyor speed.

Most tractors indicate the optimal RPM range on their tachometer.

#2 As the tractor engine’s RPMs increases, the Conveyor speed will increase as well.

To do this, move the lever on the flow control to half.

#3 You can slow the Conveyor speed by reducing the flow of hydraulic oil to the Conveyor’s motor, which is helpful for the removal of seaweed and other large material. To do this, move the lever on the flow control to half.

Use the hand throttle to control the engine speed, not the foot throttle.

#4 To maintain consistent Conveyor speed for even cleaning, use the hand throttle to control the engine speed, not the foot throttle.

Instead of using the throttle, use the gears to control the tractor’s ground speed.

#5 Control the tractor's ground speed by using the gears, instead of the throttle, so the tractor (and PTO shaft) RPM's remain consistent.

The optimal ground speed for the tractor depends on the size and nature of the materials that you wish to remove, as well as the sand conditions.

#6 The optimal ground speed for the tractor depends on the size and nature of the materials that you wish to remove, as well as the sand conditions. Please review the Surf Rake operation video for recommendations.
