ADJUSTING THE CONVEYOR CHAIN TENSION​

There should be a maximum of 1.5 inches back and forth. Tightening is required if the chain is looser.

REQUIRED TOOLS

1 1/8″ (29mm) Wrench

1 1/8″ (29mm) Socket Wrench

ADJUSTING THE CONVEYOR CHAIN TENSION

#1 Open the side door, turning the latch counterclockwise to reveal the Conveyor.

#2 Check Conveyor tension by pulling the chain back and forth.

#3 There should be a maximum of 1.5 inches back and forth – tightening is required if the chain is looser.

#4 To tighten, looen the jam nut. Allow enough room for take-up bolt to be tightened.

#4 To tighten, loosen the jam nut. Allow enough room for the take-up bolt to be tightened.

#5 Tighten the take-up bolt with a socket wrench.

#6 Check the belt tension – tighten more is necessary.

#7 Repeat the process on the other side or the Surf Rake.

#7 Repeat the process on the other side of the Surf Rake.

#8 Once equal tension is achieved, tighten the Jam Nut.

#9 Check chain tension every 2 weeks.
