Finisher

The sand finisher acts as a final beach grooming tool and attaches to the rear of any of the SURF RAKE beach cleaners. The finisher smoothes the cleaned sand, eliminating tire tracks giving the beach a combed appearance. At nine (9) feet wide, the finisher creates an inviting path. The finisher elevates hydraulically when not in use for easy transport.

Hot Dip Galvanizing

Double the life of the beach cleaners frame by having it Hot Dip Galvanized! The entire steel frame of the beach cleaning machine is immersed in molten zinc. This creates a tough protective coating that is metallurgically bonded to the steel inside and out! This process increases the beach cleaners resistance to corrosion in the harsh saltwater and sand environment.

Caster Group/Machine

All Model 600HDs are equipped with front brackets, which will accept bolt-on caster tires. Casters are helpful when the SURF RAKE is used on grass or dirt surfaces to remove litter and debris. The casters allow the SURF RAKE to follow the contour of the dirt surface to be cleaned.

Sanitizing "S-Belt"

The optional “Sanitizing (Sifting) Belt” is now available for all three models of SURF RAKE. The Sanitizing “S-Belt” offers the following benefits:

  • Maximum penetration and removal of extremely fine debris like cigarette butts
  • Perforations reduce risk of residual sand removal
  • Elimination of residual sand reduces dump cycles and bulk waste removal costs
  • Conveyor is easier to clean and clear of debris

Chicago Rake

When the City of Chicago Parks District was having a problem with e-coli contamination and bacteria in the sand, they contacted Barber for help. The new Cultivator Option was added to the back of their Barber Surf Rake to increase the amount of sand exposed to the sun. The rakes on the back of the machine go down 12 inches into the sand. This allows the sand to be pulled up and exposed to the sun, killing the bacteria in the process.
