VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

Properly tensioned bucket dump chains are critical to ensure proper bucket alignment. Your dump chains need adjustment if they are loose, as shown, or if the bucket does not rest on the bucket stop as shown.

To tighten the dump chains, begin by loosening the jam nut, allowing for some space to tighten the turnbuckle. Then, tighten the turnbuckle until the chain is taught and the bucket stop fits snuggly in its resting spot. Repeat on the other side until both sides are tight. Then, refasten the jam nut to secure the dump chains.

Check if both sides are aligned by raising and lowering the bucket. Over-tightening the dump chains will cause the bucket to hit the bucket angle before resting on the frame. Once both bucket blocks rest easily on the frame, you’re all set to go.
